The working group on the organization and conduct of military-patriotic competition "Young border guards" has met in Tashkent.
It was noted that in our country great attention is paid to the education of young generation in the spirit of patriotism, strengthening moral and physical training of youth.
In this context, great importance of military-patriotic competition "Young border guards", which are held from 2011 jointly with the Committee for the Protection of State Borders of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Central Council of Public Movement "Kamolot", Ministries of Culture and Sports, Healthcare, Republican center of secondary special and professional education and other organizations.
Every year the number of participants is increasing, from 2011 to 2016 only the qualifying competition was attended by more than 17 thousands students of professional colleges and lyceums.
– The purpose of these competitions is the education of pupils of pre-conscription age of professional colleges and academic lyceums, which are located in the border regions of our country, in a spirit of love for the motherland, loyalty to the sacred duty, the responsible employee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports Jamshidbek Hasanov says. In the course of this competition special attention is paid to the promotion of young people’s ideas of patriotism, their gradual preparation for the border service.
This year the competition will be held in February and May. Firstly regional stage will be held, and then the regional one and finally the best teams will determine the strongest on the republican stage. Participants will demonstrate their socio-political and legal grounding, skills in primary health care, knowledge of history, foreign languages, the Law "On the State Border", the works of the First President of our country. They also will demonstrate their skills in shooting, overcoming obstacles, cross-country, chin-ups, throwing grenades, marching song.
During the event the measures on organization of competition at a high level, increasing their popularity and organizational issues were discussed.
