CONGRATULATIONS FROM SOUTH KOREA

Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and association, the chairman of the Uzbek-Korean Interparliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Na Kyung Won sent congratulations on the 24th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

— Since the establishment in 1992 of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea closer cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres are developing.

In 2006, relations have risen to a new level of "strategic partnership". Through the joint efforts of the two countries it is consistently reinforced.

Our countries have a great potential for further expansion of ties in all areas. I sincerely hope that the strong friendship between South Korea and Uzbekistan will continue to develop for the benefit of the two states.

I heartily congratulate the Uzbek people with the remarkable date, I wish you peace, tranquility, prosperity and new successes.
