CONTEST OF BEST WORKER SPECIALISTS

The Uzbekistan Trade Unions Federation has held a contest for the best worker specialist, devoted to the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.

This public organization is also actively making a contribution to the implementation of the state youth policy being conducted in the country under the leadership of President Islam Karimov.

This contribution includes the contest for the best worker specialist being conducted for the first time as part of a project for helping to train young workers and to upgrade their skills.

The goal of this contest held under the slogan of “My life, my destiny – my sacred homeland, my beautiful and unique Uzbekistan” is to identify talented young specialists and to create the necessary conditions for raising their professional skills and knowledge.

The republican stage of the contest is taking place these days. In this contest, participants’ knowledge and skills are being put to theoretical and practical tests. Young people are showing their talent on such nominations as Servicing Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, Welding Work, Construction and Decoration Work, General Construction Specialist, Sewing and Sewing Appliance Production Technician and Technologist, Cooking, Hairdressing and Decorative Cosmetics.

On the Servicing Agricultural Machinery and Equipment nomination, a graduate of the Hazorbogh agrarian vocational college in Denov District of Surkhandaryo Region, Shamsiddin Magatov, took first place. A graduate of the Qarshi agro-business and entrepreneurship vocational college in Qashqadaryo Region, Suhrob Tokhtayev, took second place. And a graduate of the Khojayli agrarian economics vocational college in the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, northwestern Uzbekistan, Ghafur Seitzhanov, was in third place. The winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas and prizes.
