CONTRACTS FOR EXPORT OF PRODUCTS ARE SIGNED

The I International Fruit and Vegetable Fair, organized at the UzExpoCentre in accordance with the resolution of the President of our country Islam Karimov from June 1, 2016, continue its work.

Twenty-five years ago, needs of the population of Uzbekistan on the basic types of food, fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products were provided by imports, and due to the attainment of independence, our country has taken place among the leading nations of the export of these products. This is best illustrated by the fact that more than 180 species of fruits, vegetables and processed products are exported to more than eighty countries, including the United States of America, Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cyprus, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Thailand, China and Japan. As a result of reforms implemented in the sphere volumes are increased and export geography is expanded.

The I International Fruit and Vegetable Fair is wide demonstration of the potential of our country in this direction. On the third day of the fair were conducted the presentations in order to further strengthen the relationship in this sphere and international cooperation, with a view to signing of new contracts and increase the export potential of our country. Foreign participants got acquainted with the achievements in agriculture and food industry of the representatives of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions, methods of cultivation of organic fruits, vegetables, melons and processed products.

The manager of the Lendel Media Solutions Sl (Spain) Raul Mir Coll noted that cultivated fruits and vegetables in Uzbekistan are significantly different from the same products grown in other countries, rich in natural sugars, amino and organic acids, useful microelements essential essential for human health and various biological substances essential in the diet. With the “Yuqoribog’ nematlari” agrofirm of Urgench district, the Lendel Media Solutions Sl signed a contract for a weekly supply of 30 tons of melons starting from 1 October.

For farms and farmers of Khorezm region this fair became productive. To date, they have signed contracts for 80 million dollars. Deputy Khokim of Khiva district Jasurbek Masharipov said that the "Agro Chinor" company signed a contract with the Russian company FinInvest Consulting SRL for the supply of nine thousand tons of fruits and vegetables, with the Djandildin SA company (Kazakhstan) for the export of products in the amount of 4 and half a million dollars.

Currently, Samarkand region exports products to almost forty countries. Bulungur, Samarkand, Tailak, Urgut and Jambay districts specialize in cultivating fruits and vegetables, the average annual yield of 3076 thousand tons. This figure includes - 1503 thousand tons of vegetables, 572 thousand tons of potato, 103.7 thousand tons of melon products, 522 thousand tons of grapes and other products.

At present, in the framework of the fair trade company “Uzagroeksport” signed contracts in the amount of 382 million dollars for the supply of fruit and vegetable products to enterprises-exporters in Europe, Asia and the CIS. Contracts were signed, in particular, with the company “Pure Corporation” (Iran), the “Vsee Corporation” (China), Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UAE), the “Eco Green Group” company (India).

More than two hundred organizations and farms-exporters operate in Jizzakh region. One of them is the “Baxmal Eksport” company. The company, which employs more than 170 workers, equipped with modern equipment. The enterprise is engaged in processing of products, this year built 35 hectares of vineyards. At the fair, “Baxmal Eksport” signed a contract for the export to India of mung bean.

According to the head of “Baxmal Eksport” Anvar Safarov, the fair contributes to increasing the export potential of companies and enterprises, working in the field, the definition of new perspectives. According to representatives of the region, taking into account the high demand of nuts in Bahmal abroad, it is planned to allocate 400 hectares to new walnut plantation and 100 hectares in Gallyaral, Zaamin and Farish districts. In the liberated from the grain area of the land of two thousand hectares it will be grown high-yield cauliflower, chili peppers and other crops.
