The national football team of Uzbekistan in the eighth round of the second stage of Asian qualifying rounds for the world championship in 2018 met with a team of Yemen.
Our football players seized the initiative early in the game on the 8th minute opened the account. Adil Akhmedov assisted in scoring of the goal by midfielder Aziz Khaydarov - 1:0. On 31st minute Server Jeparov effectively used another situation created by the captain of our team - 2:0. After 50 minutes, Stanislav Andreev brought the score to 3:0.
At the last minute Yemen’s player Ahmad al-Sarobi was able to reduce the score - 3:1.
In a match between the teams of the DPRK and Bahrain the score 2:0 recorded.
Thus, our team with 15 points is in second place in the group. Uzbek players will hold matches with teams from the Philippines and Bahrain. North Korean team which runs first in a group left one match to play.
Football players of Uzbekistan will hold the next match on March 24, 2016 in Tashkent against the team of the Philippines.
