Days of Almaty

2018 is declared as the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan. This historic event serves to further strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

In this regard, public, economic, cultural and educational events, various meetings are held in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, including Days of Almaty region, which began in Uzbekistan on April 12 this year.

A business forum of representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was held in the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.

The event, held jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Tashkent City Khokimiyat and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, was attended by responsible officials, representatives of business circles of the two countries, members of the delegation of Almaty region of Kazakhstan, journalists.

As a result of 2017, the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 8.6 percent. Today, 281 enterprises are operating in Uzbekistan with participation of Kazakhstan capital, including 238 joint ventures and 43 with 100% participation of Kazakhstan investments. 14 companies of this country opened their representative offices in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the event, a concert program was held in "Turkiston" Palace of Arts, in Tashkent. More than 130 Kazakh artists performed songs about friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. An exhibition of national craftsmanship and works of fine art, organized by the delegation of Kazakhstan in the foyer of the palace, made a big impression on everyone.

During the Days of Almaty region, members of the delegation got acquainted with reforms taking place in Andijan, Fergana and Samarkand regions.
