According to the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation, the first racket of our country Denis Istomin won an international tournament "Challenger" in Tashkent.
In the final our sportsman in the duel, which lasted 1 hour and 7 minutes, defeated Slovakian Lukas Lacko with the score 6:3, 6:4.
The victory brought tennis player to 53rd world ranking place; previously he was located on the 67th position in the world ranking.
After triumph in competitions of Tashkent Challenger D.Istomin has received 18000 USD prize money and 125 points in the credit rating of ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals).
Note that another representative of Uzbekistan Farrukh Dustov has climbed up to 7 positions and took the 127 place in the ATP rating.
