The XV international conference on “Cement industry and market” is being held in Tashkent.
The forum, organized by “О’zqurilishmateriallari” JSC (Uzbekistan building materials) and “BusinessCem” company (Russian Federation), is being attended by representatives and specialists of leading companies of Armenia, Australia, Austria, China, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
Development prospects of international cooperation
Large-scale activities on construction are being carried out in Uzbekistan, the need for high-quality building materials is growing. The resolution of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures of further implementation of prospective localization projects for production of finished products, components and materials for 2017-2019” of December 26, 2016, facilitates the development of the sphere.
Today almost all kinds of building materials are being produced in our country. The cement industry is also being modernized. There are 14 cement plants in the country. In 2010-2016, production at these plants grew by 1,25 times and amounted to 9 million tons per year. In the future it is planned to increase this figure to 10 million tons.
The leading enterprise in this sphere in the country is “Kizilkumcement” JSC. Almost 3,5 million tons of cement are produced here every year. About 4 million tons of products are produced by JSC “Okhangaroncement”, “Kuvasoycement” and “Bekobodcement”. New production capacities are launched annually. This year, “Korakalpokcement” LLC in Karakalpakstan and “Yaypanshifer” began operating in Fergana.
Development prospects of international cooperation
At the conference, reports were heard on modernization of technological lines of the cement industry of Uzbekistan, the use of energy-saving equipment in construction of cement plants, reduction of carbon monoxide output in cement production process. Information was provided on construction of 4 cement plants, commissioning of which is planned for 2018. Issues of introduction of environmentally friendly technologies, organization of joint ventures were discussed.
Within the framework of the conference, foreign experts will get acquainted with the activities of “О’zqurilishmateriallari” JSC.
