EARLY VOTING CONTINUES

In 878 polling stations formed in Tashkent Region, voters who will be absent from their place of permanent residence on election day are voting early in accordance with Article 31 of the law “On elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

It is expected that 1 million 943 thousand 289 voters from Tashkent Region will be voting in this important political event – the 4 December elections.

At 60 polling stations in Angren, 123 thousand 460 voters are registered, and 306 of them are young people who will be taking part in voting for the first time. Various explanatory and informational events have been conducted with the aim of ensuring young people’s active participation in this important political process, and rules of early voting have been clarified.

Special attention was paid to making sure that polling stations are located in buildings that are modern and convenient for voters and that they are provided with all the necessary technical items, literature and booklets.

At polling station No 33 located in the building of Angren’s medical college, three inhabitants of this territory voted early. They voted for the candidates of their choice and left their filled-in ballot papers in sealed envelopes at the precinct electoral commission.

“I will be busy working on 4 December. At propagation events I was given information about the procedure for early voting. Therefore I have come to polling station No 33 in our neighbourhood to vote for the candidate of my choice,” says T.Toghayev.
