EBRD delegation visits Central Bank

On June 10, the Central Bank hosted a meeting with EBRD delegation led by its President Suma Chakrabarti, during which issues of expanding mutual cooperation in reformation and development of banking sector were discussed.

The EBRD delegation noted the need for conducting a number of additional activities. In particular, creating equal conditions, promoting healthy competition between public and private banks, as well as providing alternative sources of funding public programs.

The EBRD representatives shared their views on the current state and priorities of banking system development. The EBRD President expressed his readiness to support the ongoing reforms in banking sector and providing all necessary assistance in this area.
