Ecological approach to land use and ecosystems conservation in lower reaches of Amudarya River

The training was devoted to this theme, organized by the Center for Retraining Journalists, in Tashkent.

Environmental problems and biodiversity issues of the Aral Sea region related to global climate change, as well as “Lower Amudarya biosphere reserve: legal status, limitations, problems and possible solutions” were discussed at the event.

Special attention was paid to such issues as stereotypes in eco-journalism and breaking them, fake news and how to verify information and sources.

The event was attended by representatives of mass media and the Center for Retraining Journalists, experts in ecology and representatives of international journalism faculty of USWLU.

Following the event, practical exercises on photojournalism were conducted.
