In Uzbekistan, great attention is paid to the spiritual and educational work, to improving the reading culture of the population, especially young people. The order of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev "On the establishment of a commission to develop a system of publication and dissemination of books, improving and promoting the culture of reading" signed January 12 this year has been an important guide for action in this direction.
In Navoi region authorities conducted systematic work in this direction. In all the 47 information and resource centers of the region modern information and communication technologies are widely used. All libraries are connected to the ZiyoNET network, secondary and secondary special, professional educational institutions equipped with modern computers, it is possible to use electronic literature that promotes mastering deep knowledge by young people.
“In our center the reader is provided exemplary service,” the deputy director of the Abdulla Kadiri regional information and library center Shamsiya Bakoyeva said. “Our library contains almost 159 thousand books, more than 3 thousand copies of electronic literature.”
The lack of modern bookstores in remote areas created certain difficulties for students. According to the decree of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, we scheduled review of the issues of separation or rent places to specialized bookstores in regional and district centers, cities and in rural areas.
At the moment, in order to create even more convenience for readers in Karmana district and the city of Navoi modern bookstores are being built. Complex "Kitob olami" operates in the regional center. For the construction of this complex was spent nearly 300 million soums.
In the future, it is planned to build such bookstores in Kyzyltepa, Uchkuduk, Kanimeh, Khatirchi, Navbahor districts and Zarafshan city.
