Energy companies of Türkiye and China to build high-voltage power transmission networks in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan held talks and signed contracts with the winners of international tenders for the construction of high-voltage power transmission networks in Tashkent and Syrdarya regions, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Energy, following the results of international tenders held by the National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan JSC, the Turkish company ŞA-RA ENERJĪ Īnşaat, Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. won the tender for the construction of a 213 km 220 kV transmission line with a bid of $31.89 million, and the Chinese company Xian Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. won the tender for the construction of a 500 kV transmission line with a length of 72 kilometers with a proposed cost of $14.68 million.

These projects are financed by the World Bank and are planned for implementation in 2022-2024.
