ENERGY SUPPLY IN KARAKALPAKSTAN AND KHOREZM TO BE MORE STABLE

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a loan of 150 million USD for the project to expand and modernize the electricity system in the north-west of Uzbekistan.

The project envisages the construction of 364 km of transmission lines and three substations in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm.

In addition, its implementation will help the company Uzbekenergo to increase the management capacity at the expense of such important events as the modernization of the planning system, the automation of dispatching control, improved asset management, and training.

The project will last for almost four years and will be completed by the end of 2019, press service of Uzbekenergo reported.
