EXPORT OF HORTICULTURAL AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS TO UK DISCUSSED IN TASHKENT

On August 29, the Chamber of commerce and industry of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the British Embassy in Uzbekistan organized the seminar, entitled "Export of horticultural and agricultural products to the UK".

The aim of this workshop was to inform local exporters about the export conditions of horticultural and agricultural products in the UK, the requirements of the country to imported products and the overall market potential.

The event saw representatives of ministries and departments, about 60 entrepreneurs. This meeting has created favorable conditions for mutual exchange of opinions on prospects of bilateral cooperation.

The UK is one of the main trade and economic partners of Uzbekistan. Following 2016 results, the volume of goods turnover between the countries reached $151.3 million, of which exports amounted $40.6 million, import – $110.7 million.
