FESTIVAL MARCHES ON ACROSS THE COUNTRY

The youth festival “We are the Chidren of a Grat Country”, devoted to the 25th anniversary of our Motherland’s independence, was held in Karakalpakstan.

Different cultural undertakings, meetings and “round tables” were held in Amudaryo, Beruniy, Tortkol and Ellikqala districts. It was underlined at them that the opportunities created in the country for deep mastering of modern knowledge and professions by the younger generation, shaping the youth and girls as physically healthy and spiritually mature personalities produced its tangible results.

In the course of the festival aimed at acquainting the youth with the socio-political and economic reforms and democratic transformations going on in this country, has been realized the task of shaping up the feeling of complicity with those processes, protecting the youths and girls from the impact of sub-standard mass culture and bringing them up in the spirit of respect for and commitment to national values.

20 projects have been designed for implementation. These include the following: “We are the champions of healthy way of life”, “MP and the youth”, “Respect to veterans”, “Human trafficking is a problem of the century” and others.

Master classes and concert programs were organized with prominent poets and writers, cultural and art workers within the framework of the “Your favorite hero” project.

Practically realizing the principle “Nobody will be left without love and care!” the youths and girls visited the houses of respected veterans, including the house of 95 year old Reimboi-bobo Rakhmetov and 92 year old Kalandar-bobo Begimov who reside in the Ellikqala district, had a discussion with them and pleased them with their creative activities.

The festival wound up its work with a gala concert “Uzbekistan is a sacred Motherland!” at the amphitheater of the Ellikqaka district center with the participation of well-known professional artists and young performers.
