The Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre hosted the festival of Student Theater studios organized within the framework of Youth Week.
First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports F.Jalolov, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and others noted that under the leadership of President Islam Karimov is consistently developing a national theatrical art, plays an important role in the education of harmoniously developed generation of high spirituality and independent thinking.
Student theater studios, organized in educational institutions by ministries of higher and secondary specialized education, of culture and sports, Public Youth Movement ‘Kamolot’, Uzbekteatr Association contribute to enhancing the spirituality of young people, their acquaintance with the classic works of theatrical art, the development of creative thinking. In the studios involved young boys and girls who are interested in theater, their collectives play performances based on the works of national and world literature.
The winners of the festival – the play titled "Beat" performed by studio ‘Ziyo’ Karshi State University in a nomination “Best Stage Interpretation of the Global Problem”, the play “The Price Paid for the Mistake” by collective ‘Kimyogar’ Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology “Best Performing Skills”, the winners of the nomination “Best Original Interpretation of the Works of the World Classics” went to ‘Shakespeare ihlosmandlari’ team from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the collective ‘Pediatrician’ from Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute for “Best Coverage of Spiritual and Educational topics, “Best Coverage of Relevant Topics about life of Youth” to Theatre Studio ‘Kamolot’.
On stage of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre presented the play ‘Unwavering hearts’ performed by the winners in a nomination “Best Play” the collective ‘Jayhun’ from Karakalpak State University.
