First Lady of Uzbekistan takes part in cultural events in New York

The First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, as part of her program in New York, attended an exhibition dedicated to Türkiye’s cultural heritage at the invitation of the First Lady of the Republic of Türkiye, Emine Erdoğan.

The exhibition showcased the centuries-old heritage of Anatolia, bringing together traditions, crafts, and culture with modern design. On display were national textiles, handwoven carpets, jewelry made using telkari and kazaziye techniques, samples of ceramics, carved walnut chests, and hand-forged copperware.

While touring the exhibition, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Emine Erdoğan exchanged views on strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations.

The event was also attended by spouses of heads of state and government of other countries, as well as senior representatives of foreign delegations visiting New York for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
