FLEETWOOD TOWN CHIEF EXECUTIVE: WE ARE SEEING A HIGH LEVEL OF SPORTING PROFICIENCY OF UZBEK FOOTBALLERS

British press covered the development of cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of sport. In particular, the publication of Blackpool Gazette published an article about the partnership between the Tashkent football club "Lokomotiv" and English Fleetwood Town, acting in the first league championship.

According to the publication, two players of FC "Locomotive" Sergey Prokhorov and Rustam Nartadjiev joined members of Fleetwood Town to take 3-month sports training, as well as to receive theoretical knowledge on techniques and tactics in the club’s training field in Highbury under leadership of coach Barry Nicholson.

According to Blackpool Gazette, this training is carried out in the framework of cooperation between the two football clubs, which began in April 2015.

The publication notes that there are prospects of continuing this cooperation with Uzbekistan, where there is a sustainable development of sport and football in general. In this regard, the publication gives an interview with the Chief Executive of Fleetwood Town, Steve Curwood:

— These are the first results of our fruitful cooperation with the Tashkent club. We are seeing a high level of sporting proficiency of S.Prokhorov and R.Nartadjiev. We are confident that their training in England will help in their future professional career. In addition, they have a great chance to get acquainted closer with the British culture and traditions as well as to tell their teammates in Fleetwood Town about Uzbekistan.
