For the first time in history Uzbekistan's foreign trade surpasses USD 81 billion in 2025

Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached USD 81.2 billion in 2025, reflecting the country’s sustained growth in external economic activity and the expansion of its network of key trade partners, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to preliminary data from the National Statistical Committee, China and Russia remain Uzbekistan’s leading trading partners, together accounting for more than 37% of total trade. Trade with China reached USD 17.2 billion, while trade with Russia amounted to USD 13 billion.

Within Central Asia, Kazakhstan stands out as a key partner, with trade totalling USD 5 billion, underscoring the region’s role as an important space for economic integration and complementary markets.

Cooperation with more distant partners is also strengthening. Türkiye reached USD 3 billion in trade, consolidating its position as one of Uzbekistan’s major economic and commercial partners. Meanwhile, the Republic of Korea and Afghanistan each recorded USD 1.7 billion, reflecting a combination of industrial cooperation and cross-border trade activities.

In Europe, Germany and France each accounted for USD 1.4 billion in trade with Uzbekistan, while India and the United Arab Emirates closed out the top ten with USD 1.3 billion each, highlighting growing interest in the Uzbek market from South Asia and the Middle East.

Analysts note that the results for 2025 confirm Uzbekistan’s increasingly secure position as an active and reliable participant in global trade chains, expanding its economic influence while mitigating external risks.
