FOREIGN MINISTER OF UZBEKISTAN MEETS UN SECRETARY-GENERAL

September 25, 2015, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at the headquarters of the United Nations in New-York, press service of the ministry reports.

During the meeting the parties discussed the promising areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and United Nations, as well as issues on agenda of the 70th anniversary session of the General Assembly and proposals of the Uzbek side to submitted draft of consolidated report on sustainable development in 2016-2030.

Ban Ki-moon, who has visited Uzbekistan, including the Aral Sea region, has expressed support for the efforts of our country to mitigate the consequences of the Aral Sea ecological disaster.
