FOUR REGIONS TO HAVE NEW POSITIONS IN ADMINISTRATION - DEPUTY HEAD FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The Government of Uzbekistan is implementing a pilot program for the introduction of new posts in the regional administrations - deputy heads to promote tourism.

The new deputy heads will not work in this direction alone, for each of them it is planned to create a special secretariat that will address the whole range of issues on developing the necessary infrastructure and promoting the region’s tourism brand abroad.

For this pilot project, four regions have been selected: Khorezm, Bukhara, Samarqand and Tashkent regions. They are not chosen by chance, they have a lot of unique historical monuments, the necessary infrastructure created in part, which has to be accelerated. In the future, the experience gained will be extended to the entire republic.

Appointments in these four regions have already been made.
