FUTURE GROUP INTENDS TO ESTABLISH JV IN UZBEKISTAN

The Ministry of foreign trade held a meeting with the Indian delegation headed by the Vice-President of the Corporation "Future Group" Ashley Rajan.

The meeting discussed the current state and prospects of trade-economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as issues of raising exports of legumes and processed fruit and vegetable products to India. The Indian side expressed interest in participating in joint projects in the food industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed mutual interest to work together.

Reference: Future Group, the largest private conglomerate with headquarters in Mumbai established in 1994. The corporation unites more than 14 of the most well-known network of hypermarkets, including "Big Bazaar", "Food Bazaar", "EasyDay", "Central", "FoodHall", etc., has more than 2,500 hypermarkets and about 30 thousand small shops in 240 largest cities of India. The total number of employees – more than 36 thousand. Revenue by the end of 2016 amounted to $3.2 billion.
