GUIDELINES FOR PLANNING AND CONDUCTING A SAMPLE SURVEY OF SMALL BUSINESSES

The State Statistics Committee (SSC) Decree №7 dated April 22 this year approved "Guidelines for planning and conducting a sample survey of small businesses", according to the information service of SSC.

These guidelines shall govern the mechanisms of organizing and conducting a sample survey of small businesses in order to obtain representative data for the calculation of key indicators and assess the contribution of small business to the economy of the Republic for the period under review.

The methodology of the sample survey of small businesses based on the basic positions, principles and recommendations of the Guide to planning and conducting statistical surveys of enterprises, developed by Eurostat.

Guidelines are to be found in the sequence corresponding to the main stages of organizing and conducting sample surveys and are intended for use by state statistics in order to develop reliable statistical data to make evidence-based conclusions about the target population of small businesses while controlling the accuracy of the results.

This Decision shall enter into force on 27 April 2015.
