Youth week under the motto “Tomorrow is our day, our goal” commenced in Tashkent.
The festival, organized by the Central council of the Kamolot youth public movement, ministries of higher and special secondary education, culture and sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Iste’dod Fund of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on training prospective young teachers and scientists and other organizations, is attended by the winners of Zulfiya State prize, Nikhol prize, “O’zbekiston belgisi” badge, international Olympiads, competitions, sports tournaments, representatives of science, culture and arts circles, foreign scientists.
Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov wide scale works on upbringing the youth in the spirit of devotion to ideas of national independence, love for the homeland, encouraging the youth to noble deeds in developing the country, strengthening a sense of belonging, creativity, and faith in the future has been underway in our country.
The youth week, held under the motto “Tomorrow is our day, our goal”, is one of the largest projects in this sphere. The event, held within the frameworks of program of additional measures, targeted at carrying out the State youth policy in 2015 in the Republic of Uzbekistan, differs in its scientific-creative, social and political, cultural and enlightenment features.
At the opening ceremony of the Youth week at the Youth creativity palace, chairman of Kamolot youth public movement B.Ganiev, director of Iste’dod Fund of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on training prospective young teachers and scientists A.Pardaev, chairman of Uzbekistan Academy of arts A.Nuriddinov, deputy minister of higher and special secondary education B.Usmanov and other highlighted that the forum will aim at encouraging and supporting endeavours of the youth, gaining its place in the society.
In the years of independence, the youth issue was elevated to the state policy level. The President’s words “The future of our homeland and the nation, authority of our country in world community, first of all, depend on the education of our children, on as whom they enter adult life” serve as the basis for creating necessary conditions for education of young boys and girls. This encourages each young person to new achievements, innovations, gaining knowledge and skills, contribute to prosperity of motherland.
– We, young boys and girls, are full of noble goals, pursuit of knowledge, everything new and gaining life experience, – says a student of Tashkent architectural-construction institute Munis Mirpulatova.– In this important period for the youth, it’s necessary to create among them scientific and creative environment, form friendship ties, supporting mutual sharing of experience, conducting scientific research. This unites us, the youth, on the way to serve in prosperity of the country, encourages scientific and creative activity, and raises initiative.
The opening ceremony of the Fashion and design festival started with demonstration of fashionable dress collection of the Republican arts college. This festival is one the multifaceted projects of the week and covers a variety of areas.
– I am glad, that I am taking part at this festival, – says a student of the Republican arts college Malokhat Mirsoatova. – My collection consists of national women’s clothing. The peculiarity of these costumes is in natural range of colors, traditional patterns.
This festival, differing radically from other fashion weeks, will include a show “Fashion laboratory”, scientific conference “Fashion: problems and solutions”, fashion shows of national costumes and modern fashion designers, exhibitions of young artisans and artists, master-classes.
Prologue festival of short films will be held for the first time in order to identify new talents in cinematography, support and present to general public, improve professional skills of young artists, create opportunities to showcase their work on the big screen within the frameworks of the youth week. Around one hundred amateur and professional filmmakers presented their works in this competition.
A "round table" discussion on "short film - school of excellence for young filmmakers", master classes and presentations with the participation of foreign experts on the use of special effects and 3D technology, Open Day at the Museum of Uzbek cinema art, the exhibition of contemporary film industry, demonstrations of the best short films of various genres and subjects by young filmmakers will also be held.
The festival of student theater studios covers various staging, submitted by theatrical studios of higher education institutions and master classes. Main focus will be on skills of students on the stage, and the audience will be able to directly observe the working process.
This festival, organized jointly by the Ministry of higher and special secondary education and Uzbekteatr union, will feature performances by student theater groups of the Karakalpak State University, Karshi State University, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbek State World Languages University, Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design. Performances at the scene of State institute of arts and culture will be assessed by young spectators. The best performances will be presented on scene of the Uzbek National academic drama theater.
The week also includes final stage of the KVN (club of the cheerful and the resourceful) competition, held to meaning organization of spare time of the youth, as well as disclosure of some of the problems, shortcomings in student life via satire and humor. The teams from Samarkand State University, Nukus state pedagogy institute, Andijan agricultural institute, Tashkent automobile roads institute, National University of Uzbekistan will compete in the finals.
The final stage of the competition "Tafakkur sinovlari", scientific-theoretical conference of young scientists and researchers under the motto "XXI century - a century of intellectual generation", the ceremony of awarding the winners of the "Yangi Nigoh" video contest, and a gala concert will also be held within the frameworks of the youth week.
