At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Park Chang-sik, President of the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, has been appointed Honorary Cultural Advisor to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the official ceremony, it was expressed with confidence that, given his experience and professional background, Park Chang-sik appointment to this important position would elevate cultural relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea to a new level. It was emphasized that his contribution to strengthening cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and friendship between the two peoples would be invaluable.
Park Chang-sik, in turn, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and affirmed his commitment to making every effort to ensure the effective organization of planned events within the framework of the Year of Cultural Exchange in 2025, in close cooperation with the Embassy. He also pledged support for the implementation of several new cultural and academic initiatives.
The honorary advisor also noted with satisfaction that a delegation under his leadership has received an official invitation to actively participate in the opening ceremony of the Center of Islamic Civilization, scheduled for early September this year, as well as in the global exhibition and the 9th International Congress titled "The Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan – A Legacy of All Humanity". "These events, in addition to showcasing the rich cultural heritage of our nations, will serve as an important step in strengthening friendship, mutual understanding, and future cooperation", - he stated.
Representatives of the Embassy and Park Chang-sik agreed to work closely together to develop plans and programs for new cultural initiatives for the current and coming years, and to fully utilize all available resources to ensure their successful implementation.
