President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has visited to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku. During the meeting in the diplomatic mission of our country the leader of Azerbaijan has expressed his support for the people of Uzbekistan in connection with the passing of the first President of our country Islam Karimov.
— Islam Karimov goes down in history as the first president of independent Uzbekistan. The formation, development and strengthening of the independence and sovereignty of the country, achievements and successes in the socio-economic and political integration of the brotherly Uzbekistan in the international community are inextricably linked with the name of the respected President.
In Azerbaijan among the people Islam Karimov is known and deeply respected as a true friend who has made a contribution to the strengthening of centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual support, the formation and the comprehensive development of the Azerbaijani-Uzbek bilateral relations.
The bright memory of Islam Karimov will remain forever in our hearts.
