In January-December 2014 newly registered 26,900 companies and organizations, including 26,000 small businesses, according to the State Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan.
A significant number of newly established enterprises and organizations in Tashkent city (24.4% of all registered in the republic), Tashkent (9.9%), Fergana (8.6%) and Samarkand (7.5%) regions.
In the sectoral structure of newly registered enterprises and organizations in the share of trade and catering 28.3%, industry - 24%, construction - 11.7%.
