They familiarized themselves with great improvement and construction work carried out in the capital city. They also saw a play entitled “Iymon” (faith) at the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre.
A festive event has been held in the “Nowruz” state function house on the occasion of 8 March International Women’s Day.

The Grand Hall of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan has served the venue for the concert by the National Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan under supervision of Gayrat Abrarov entitled ‘Masterpieces of the Past Century’
The program of the honorary ensemble of the National Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan was opened by the ‘Morning Serenade of the Jester’ by Maurice Ravel. And then the orchestra impressed the audience with excellent performance of ‘Adagio’ by Samuel Barber. Then, the orchestra was accompanied by the oboe played by the laureate of international contests Ikbol Imamov to perform ‘Prelude of Love’ by Jean Paul Reverberi and ‘Oblivion’ by Astor Piazzolla.
The perfect completion of the musical evening turned the Concerto for two pianos with orchestra in D minor by Francis Poulenc, which was performed by the winners of international competitions Marat Gumarov and Madina Fayzieva.
The audience greeted every performance with a standing ovation.
“Of course, there were some moments of understatement, but they all faded away before performing of musicians and soloists. We have formed a unique tandem, more precisely - the trio. This was my first experience, but I am happy with the opportunity to perform the Concerto for two pianos with orchestra by Francis Poulenc,” said the conductor Gayrat Abrarov. “The initiative to play the masterpieces of the twentieth century was very warmly received by the soloists, in particular, Madina Fayzieva. It was she to suggest the performance of the works of the French composer, pianist and critic Francis Poulenc. Her choice she explained by the fact that this concert was last time performed 12 years ago.”
“We had no scores. So, we had to take notes themselves. But even then, 12 years ago, the audience warmly welcomed this concert and repeatedly asked to perform,” shared Madina Fayzieva. “Of course, we have formed a good team. Now I would like to play a concert by Alfred Schnittke.”
“The concert was held in one breath, because the program was absolutely unique. It was unique with the fact that the works performed today are quite recognizable, but nevertheless, it was necessary to represent our own interpretation. While performing we feel the warmth and understanding of the audience,” Marat Gumarov said.
