On September 7, 2016 on the proposal of the Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan it was conducted a joint meeting of the Councils of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
Councils of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan have adopted a combined resolution to convene a joint meeting of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on September 8, 2016 in Tashkent.
The agenda of the joint meeting of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic Uzbekistan includes the question "On the temporary assignment of the duties and powers of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
