The annual Tashabbus (Initiative) review contest serves as an important stimulus for the development of small business and private entrepreneurship, the wide dissemination of achievements and positive results in this area. It has been held since 1995, and during this time has opened new horizons to many entrepreneurs for advancement and progress.
At a press conference held in Tashkent, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, it was announced that the Tashabbus-2017 competition was on the start. Representatives of the media received full information about the preparation and holding of district (city), regional and republican rounds of the challenge. Its participants will compete in three main categories, namely, for the Best Entrepreneur, the Best Farmer, and the Best Craftsperson.
In order to encourage entrepreneurs, farmers and artisans, additional nominations are also envisaged, the list of which includes two new ones, based on the tasks specified in the Strategy of Actions: one for the promotion of their own trademarks and the conquest of new markets and the other for the production of new types of consumer products in demand in the domestic market of Uzbekistan. This will demonstrate the effectiveness of using marketing tools to promote goods.
District (city) stages are due April 20-25. Rounds of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent are to be held from April 25 to May 3. Winners of the regional phases of the contest will take part in the final national round scheduled for May 16-17. The ceremony of awarding victors and prize winners of the review contest is envisaged for May 22 in Tashkent.
