On November 30, 2017, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Ismoilov met with the delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council I.Umakhano
At the meeting, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan informed the guests about the large-scale reforms that are being carried out in our country.
In particular, it was noted that, in accordance with the Strategy of actions, the most important state and territorial programs aimed at accelerated socio-economic and socio-political development of the country are being implemented. Information was provided about innovations in the legislative system.
In turn, I.Umakhanov emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations and maintaining a permanent political dialogue, which are designed to create a reliable basis for the development of bilateral cooperation in all other areas.
A meeting of the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Yuldoshev with the delegation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The sides discussed the state and prospects of further deepening bilateral inter-parliamentary relations, as well as trade, economic and investment cooperation.
It was noted that the visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Russian Federation is timed to the next meeting of the Commission on cooperation of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
On the same day, a meeting of the Commission on cooperation of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by members of the parliamentary delegation of the Russian Federation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly I.Umakhanov.
At the meeting of the Commission, a number of key issues related to further development and deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation were considered through the exchange of visits at various levels, conduction of joint events, and the exchange of information on legislative and other normative acts that are being adopted.
Issues of holding a “Forum of regions” in the first half of 2018 in Tashkent, aimed at further development of trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed.
Following the event, a decision was taken on conduction of the next 3rd meeting of the Commission in Moscow.
