Interdistrict Hemodialysis Center to be opened in Jizzakh in 2019

An agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the well-known company VAMs GmbH (Germany) was signed within the framework of the International Investment Forum, held in Jizzakh region. The purpose of this cooperation is implementation of an investment project in the field of nephrologic and hemodialysis assistance to the population of the country.

Within the framework of the above-mentioned cooperation, it is envisaged to attract private investments in the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, create an industrial complex for production of medical and pharmaceutical products in the field of nephrology. The existing hemodialysis departments will be modernized in the medical institutions of the country and a complete renovation of their medical equipment fleet will be carried out. Up to 20 new medical clinics for hemodialysis will be created on the principles of public-private partnership.

As a pilot project in 2019, it is planned to open an interdistrict hemodialysis center in the city of Jizzakh. A plant on producing medical materials for hemodialysis will also be built.

As reported by the Information Service of the Ministry of Health, the planned amount of investment under this agreement amounts to $27 million in the period until 2022.
