Tashkent hosted an international conference devoted to the introduction of modern technologies and increased international cooperation in the textile industry, according to the National Information Agency UzA.
The event was organized "Uzbekyengilsanoat" together with the Committee of Friendship "Uzbekistan-Switzerland" and the company FE LLC "Rieter Uzbekistan".
It was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, textile companies of Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Germany, India and Turkey, commercial banks and specialized institutions.
The conference stressed that attracting new investment, the introduction of modern equipment and technology are the most important factor in the development of light industry of Uzbekistan and increase its export potential.
Favorable investment climate in our country attracts a large number of foreign investors, particularly in the program of measures to ensure the structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production in the years 2015-2019 identified 77 investment projects in the textile industry, the total cost of more than $ 900 million.
The country also organize the production of modern textile machinery. Thus, according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the organization of modern textile machinery" in the capital of an Uzbek-Swiss joint venture "Rieter Uzbekistan". Here are produced carding, belt and ring spinning machines. However, together with the Chinese company JuitaSewingMachine launched production of sewing machines in the free industrial zone in Jizzakh region.
At the conclusion of the conference, representatives of domestic companies and foreign businessmen discussed further prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation.
