Tashkent hosted Uzbekistan – UAE business forum within the framework of the visit to Uzbekistan of the delegation led by Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ibrahim Al Mahmoud.
The event, organized by the State Committee for Investment with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE and the Consulate General in Dubai, was attended by the heads of several ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, representatives of regional khokimiyats and leading companies such as Uzbekenergo, Uzbekneftegaz, Uzqurilishmateriallari, Uzeltechsanoat, Uzbekoziqovqatholding, Uzagrotechsanoat holding.
At the business forum, agreements were concluded in such areas as construction (shopping centers and hotels), alternative energy (wind and solar electric power plants). An agreement was also signed on organization by Uzbekistan and the UAE of a direct investment fund for 1 billion USD.
B2B meetings were held within the framework of the event.
