INVESTMENTS FLOW TO UZBEKISTAN

Rostec State Corporation (Russia) maps out several cutting edge projects in Uzbekistan.

Jointly with the Uzbek side, Rostec plans to establish a production of a wide range of composite materials, metalworking products, tools and technological equipment for the needs of car engineering enterprises of the country. It is also planned to carry out projects in the framework of industrial cooperation between car engineering enterprises, automation of air traffic control in the territory of Uzbekistan, supply and repair of gas turbine and gas-pumping equipment.

“The projects are focused on expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan, particularly, on participation in international investment projects in the field of industry and technologies. There are plans afoot to launch a manufacture of modern medical equipment, including cardiac screening systems, neonatal equipment, newborn incubators, inhalation equipment, a wide range of vaccines and pharmaceuticals,” said Sergei Chemezov, Rostec Director General.

Other promising areas of cooperation include sales of Uralvagonzavod’s products: axles and components for wheel sets for the needs of the Uzbek railways. Projects in the mining industry envisage the construction of a mining and metallurgical complex on the basis of Dalneye copper deposit, as well as the upgrade of water treatment and disposal facilities.
