In the Pap district of the Namangan region, a ceremony of laying the foundation of the Uzbek-Chinese-Arab joint venture, Popcement, has been held.

The event noted that during the visit to Namangan region on July 7-8, 2017, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev identified important tasks to effectively use the available opportunities for increasing the region’s economic potential, in accordance with which a number of promising projects for the technical and technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises , the use of new production capacity.

An enterprise for the production of cement is being built on the basis of the former limited liability company Uzruberoid of the Pap district, which has become one of the important steps towards the development of the construction industry not only of the region, but of the whole country.

“Completion of construction and installation works at the enterprise is planned in September this year,” says the engineer-technologist Yo Shin Wang (China). “We are glad that we are participating in the implementation of such a large project in Uzbekistan. We believe that our cooperation will continue to develop.”

At a modern enterprise with a project cost of $ 50 million, production from local raw materials is estimated at 500,000 tons of cement per year. After the project is implemented, about 700 jobs will be created.
