On April 9, Tashkent Islamic University hosted the Republican conference on the theme "Actual issues of improving the methodology and approaches of religious studies".
This is the seventh annual conference, which is held in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. The date is timed to the formation of the Tashkent Islamic University according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov on April 7, 1999, reports IA UzReport.
The conference discussed a wide range of issues of interaction of religious studies and philosophy, including national and universal values, trends in the development of religion in the context of globalization, the formation of the ideological foundations of immunity against religious extremism and terrorism.
