Issues of improving the activities of private employment agencies and effective organization of legal and consular assistance for citizens of Uzbekistan abroad discussed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev met with the Deputy Director of the Migration Agency Matlab Kuranov, and Chairman of the Association of Private Employment Agencies (APEA) Toshtemir Khaydarov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues related to protecting the rights of citizens sent to work in foreign countries, preventing cases of abandoning jobs abroad, introducing a specific clause regarding consular registration of labor contracts, and improving the activities of the Association of Private Employment Agencies.

In addition, the mechanisms for cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Association of Private Employment Agencies were discussed, as well as the effective organization of legal and consular assistance for citizens abroad.

The meeting discussed the issue of organizing labor fairs in developed countries such as Germany and Croatia in June 2025 with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as holding negotiations with employers in a B2B format.

At the end of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to develop and implement measures aimed at ensuring the safe and legal labor activities of citizens abroad.
