On May 16, during a working visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Istanbul, a meeting was held with active members of the Uzbek diaspora, including heads of cultural centers and public associations, as well as representatives of Turkish companies interested in employing citizens of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by leaders of organizations such as the "Society for Uzbek Culture, Solidarity and Cooperation" Chokay Kochar, the "Society for the Protection of the Rights of Uzbek Women" Ozoda Islomova, and the "International Society of Uzbek Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" Furkat Alimjanov.

The discussion focused on protecting the rights and interests of compatriots, and on creating favorable conditions for their legal employment and social integration. Topics included diaspora consolidation and engagement in cultural and educational projects.

On the same day, negotiations were held with representatives of Turkish companies including Rixos Hotel A.Ş, Sheraton Hotel A.Ş, Kalyon A.Ş, Ziraat Tarım, Hayvancılık ve Yatırım A.Ş, Cengiz Holding, MedLoc Logistics, and Eczacıbaşı Holding, all of which expressed interest in employing Uzbek workers. The sides discussed expanding cooperation in the field of labor migration and enhancing the protection of workers’ rights.
