Issues of strengthening measures to ensure public safety considered

On March 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting with the participation of heads of law enforcement agencies and security forces on issues of ensuring public safety.

The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard reported on organizing the protection of public order at large trade and service facilities, including public places such as shopping and entertainment complexes, parks, markets, and others.

It was noted that, given the current conditions of growing threats and risks to public safety, it is necessary to strengthen interaction between law enforcement agencies and business entities to ensure public order and the protection of citizens. At the same time, the importance of strict observance of the legal rights and interests of business entities and citizens when carrying out activities related to public safety was emphasized.

The Head of state has been instructed to prepare a draft legal act allowing full interaction between law enforcement agencies, civil society institutions, and business entities in this direction.

The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard has been tasked with further strengthening the ongoing work to protect public order and take effective measures aimed at preventing possible terrorist attacks and other emergency incidents in places where the population is crowded.
