IT MINISTRY LAUNCHES "BEST SOFT CHALLENGE" CONTEST

On August 4, the Ministry for development of information technologies and communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the beginning of the Republican youth contest: "Best Soft Challenge 2017".

The main aim of the contest is to support young people, able to work in the field of design and programming using various computer software, as well as providing opportunities to talented young programmers to realize their intellectual potential.

The annual contest, held since2013, is available for citizens of Uzbekistan up to 25 years, students of professional colleges and academic lyceums, students of universities and those without higher education.

This year the format of the contest has undergone some changes. Prior to this, the participants had to present ready-made software solutions, while this year they can present projects and ideas by categories.

Winners will be selected in four areas:

1. "Smart city"

2. Computer and mobile games

3. The best project in the sphere of trade and services

4. Innovative idea in ICT.
