A delegation of tourism organizations and mass media of Japan headed by deputy chairman of the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) Jingo Kikuma arrived in Uzbekistan.
The delegation included representatives of the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), the Japan Association of Travel Companies (ANTA), company JTB, Hankyu Travel, Foresight Marketing, the international airport "Narita" of Tokyo, as well as Japanese media, such as television network TV-Asahi , the newspaper Mainichi Shimbun, IA JIJI Press and others.
The purpose of the visit - to discuss enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of tourism, as well as get acquainted with the tourist attractions of our country. During their stay in the country members of the Japanese delegation will hold several meetings in the relevant ministries and departments, as well as visit the city of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Termez.

— Uzbekistan is the tourist heart of Central Asia, - he said. - With its rich cultural and historical heritage, the country has become a very attractive destination for tourists from around the world, including from Japan.
Between the two countries there is a huge untapped potential in the tourism sector. I hope that our visit will contribute to further expansion of bilateral cooperation in this area.
