The Japanese government announced the beginning of the selection of projects for technical assistance programs’ "Science and technology research partnership for sustainable development" (SATREPS), the press service of the Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology reports.
As part of the program interested research institutes can submit forward-looking proposals for 2016 to the Committee on coordination of development of science and technology in the following areas:
— solution of environmental issues on a global scale;
— energetic systems aimed at realizing a low-carbon society;
— opportunities of sustainable production and use of biological resources;
— scientific technology for the prevention of natural disasters;
— measures against infectious diseases.
