Recently the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on privatization, de-monopolization and development of competition held a meeting with the Head of Representative Office of international auditing company KPMG, Oleg Goshchansky.
During the meeting the representative of KPMG was informed in detail about the state privatization programs, including about public assets offered for sale to foreign strategic investors as well as privileges and preferences provided by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan for foreign investors.
Oleg Goshchansky noted that implemented economic reforms, measures taken to increase the share and the value of private property in the economy and to ensure the rights of private property owners as well as favorable investment climate set up in the country reinforce KPMG interest in establishing its work in Uzbekistan.
In addition, during the meeting the sides discussed issues regarding the procedure for the accreditation of a foreign company representation, obtaining the appropriate licenses to conduct audit and assessment activities in Uzbekistan.
