Leaders of Uzbekistan and Albania discuss expansion of bilateral cooperation

As part of his participation in the events of the UNGA High-Level Week on September 23, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the President of Albania Bajram Begaj.

The development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres was discussed.

Mutual interest was expressed in bringing bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level, including through the establishment of mechanisms for political dialogue and economic interaction.

The importance of unlocking the potential of cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, as well as the implementation of joint projects in sectors including agriculture, the food industry, and transport, was emphasized.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues.
