The first International Forum of Maqom Art continues in Shakhrisabz. This forum is significant in its scope, thematic coverage and a large number of participants. The event is attended by artists from 73 countries.
At the scientific-practical conference on “The maqom art and its role in the world civilization”, held within the framework of the forum, famous scientists engaged in the study of maqom art are taking part with their scientific reports.
Leading scientists and musicologists from 19 countries, in particular, from Uzbekistan, the USA, France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, South Korea, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Egypt, Iraq, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh are attending the conference.
Presentation of books “Bukhoro shoshmaqomi”, “Khorazm dutor maqomlari va olti yarim maqomi” by Otanazar Matyokubov, “Uzbek maqomlari” by Ravshan Yunusov, master classes in traditions of “master – apprentice” school by masters of maqom art of the country will be held within the framework of the scientific conference.
