MEETING IN NATIONAL LIBRARY OF UZBEKISTAN, DEVOTED TO REULTS OF FIRST HALF OF 2015

The National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi held a meeting devoted to the first half of 2015. Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and employees of the library attended it.

Speakers at the meeting informed about the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of July 16, 2015, on matters and outcome considered at it. There was presented information on GDP growth, industrial production, exports and the Promotion of foreign trade, as well as measures taken for the organization of jobs and others.

Report for the first half of 2015, describing the activity of the National Library, has given basic indicators, according to which:

— total fund of National Library accounts for more than 7 million copies (6.6 million of this - printed fund and 357 thousand in electronic form);

— number of registered readers is 108,233 with registration of 14,315 new users;

— number of visits to the library has exceeded 41,6081 thousand times, 33,886 of which visited the web site of the library;

— book distribution totaled 2,614,388 copies, and on internal sources of the web site amounted to 96,709 handling orders books.

In the first half of 2015, there were carried out 154 different educational and general activities, 88 cultural and educational events, 40 thematic and personal photo book exhibitions, 22 exhibition about new publications and 4 exhibition of paintings and crafts.
