On April 7, 2016, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerik Utembayev.
The Ambassador presented the copy of his credentials.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation. It was emphasized that the progressive and dynamic development of the entire complex of inter-state relations based on the solid foundation of the regular Uzbek-Kazakh dialogue at the high level.
Kazakhstan is one of the important economic partners of Uzbekistan. By the end of 2015 the mutual trade exceeded $3 billion. The parties closely cooperate in the field of transport, communications and transit.
Cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres which is based on the spiritual proximity and the long history of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plays an important role in the agenda.
At the meeting the practical aspects of the upcoming bilateral political contacts were considered.
