MEETING WITH AMBASSADOR OF UNITED KINGDOM

On January 15, 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Christopher Allan.

The sides held a thorough review of bilateral relations, with emphasis on promising directions of further development of cooperation in 2016.

The parties discussed the proposals to enhance inter-parliamentary contacts and to establish direct mutually beneficial relations between business circles of the two countries in order to attract advanced technologies into Uzbek economy.

At the meeting, the issues of expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges, including cooperation between scientific and educational institutions of Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom were also considered.
